Does anyone know of any restaurants/hotels who will be serving traditional Thanksgiving dinners in or around Cancun? Prices, reservation info, etc. will be appreciated if you have it. I have been getting a lot of questions on this and don't have any answers. Thanks, T.J
BBG always do a traditional thanksgiving dinner, I'd expect most hotels will that have a large proportion of guests from the US. As you know, thanksgiving is about as celebrated in Mexico as 4th July or for that matter Bonfire Night, so I'd be surprised to see any local places doing anything special.
Thanks Steve, I did not expect any local places to be carving up any pavo as I am certainly aware that American holidays are not typically celebrated in countries other than the USA. I do know in the past many hotels did offer this type of dinner, as did My Place, which of course won't be serving anything anymore. I posted this question on the Cancun Info board as well.
Thanksgiving dinner, that's the same as xmas dinner, Roast Turkey right? God I could do with a Roast mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Yep, Margaritaville looks like it for us...$25 per person (turkey, mash taters, gravy, pumpkin pie) Plus 1 free welcome drink. They will have the NFL games on too!
Sounds good, but is it proper gravy? I've had gravy here twice and it was a poor imitation, gravy makes all the difference to a roast dinner. On the subject of food, has anyone ever found somewhere that sells real milk? I really fancy a proper cup of tea, I got tea bags but that uht stuff makes it taste worse than tea from McDonalds in a paper cup!
