Whats the best type of tequila to ask for?
If I'm going to Mexico, I want to drink the good stuff!
I'm not a tequila drinker normally... "but when in Rome..." :beer4:

There are soooo many wonderful tequilas to choose from. My favorite by far for sipping is Don Julio, both reposado and anejo. Other favorites are Herradura, Cazadores, and for margaritas, Jose Cuervo Tradicional. If you drink it straight, sip, don't shoot. Your head may thank you for it in the morning. lol

Also try alternately sipping the tequila with sangrita, similar to a bloody mary without the alcohol, but more spicy.

Good suggestions above. For a souvenir to take home, I suggest Corralejo. Tasty but the cool thing is the tall, thin bottle in a beautiful dark blue. You can usually spot it as the tallest bottle in the tequila section of the bar or liquor store.

Don't forget that if you have a flight connection going back to the states that you will have to clear security at your point of entry. Your booze, even if Duty Free, must be put in a checked bag and CANNOT be in your carry on.
