So, my third trip is coming up, and dare I say it, at TTR I've only had one shot of tequila and it was rough stuff!!! Paint stripper rough. My first drink at the sexy pool is going to be a tequila sunrise (reminiscing my teenage years!!!). What brand of tequila should I ask for? What's decent? Thx guys. 29th July-5th august.
The brands at the bar are all about the same to me, as long as you ask for a brand. The rail stuff is definitely like paint stripper, and I cannot imagine that anyone can drink it. The 100 Anos, Jose, and El Jimador are all about the same to me. Not horrible, but not awesome either.
If they have Milagro, that seems to be a bit more smooth to me (compared to Cuervo or El Jimador). I don't recall if they have Patron - if so, that is very smooth.
They had Casadorez last time we were there and it is pretty good. If they dont have it the Milagro is good as well.
Before we get a ride to the resort, we hit the duty free store for a couple of bottles of Don Julio for pregame shots. We had some shots from the bar at the resort from the bar and they were rough. The third shot was smoother than the two before, though.
Best advice I can give you if you're boundd & determined to have said Tequila Sunrise at the Sexy Pool. Buy & Bring a bottle of Don Julio Silver with you.
one trip they had a bottle of Patron on bar for sale... Like a Hundred bucks......patron is good but Not that good..
