Hi guys- Looking to plan an early winter get away in mid to late November and we are debating between Desire and Temptation. I'll add a little about us to give some back ground and maybe some of you friendly folks can help us decide. We are married, 20 years. Traveling with another couple. None of us are swingers or nudist, just enjoy the freedom of a topless vacation and the party atmosphere that Temptation offered. Temptation positives that we enjoyed: (We've been to Temptation 2 x's)--the other couple once. --The on-site party so we didn't have to go anywhere when we wanted to party. --We enjoy the food and thought the resort was over-all very nice. --The sexy pool is a blast --The drinks were plenty good for us --We liked the people we met, they were very friendly --Service was good Temptation negatives that make us consider other resorts: --Its our 20 year anniversary and my wife wanted to at least consider a nicer resort, maybe a little higher end. (not sure Desire matches this or not) --The beach at Temptation is not as nice as some in Cancun-with the green emerald water, etc... --With the rooms at Temptation you don't get the awesome balcony with the great ocean views. Any input would be greatly appreciated. We're having a heck of a time making a decision. Thanks- Jeff & Bec
Just went to both resorts Labor Day vacation. Temptation is fun and had a great time as always. Desire first time was much nicer resort as a whole. Daytime much quieter around 4 mood changes. Hot tub crazy. Evening a lot of fun. Disco fun and hot tub at nite fun too Food is much better. We also are not swingers but had a great time at both. We will return to both again. What they said.............and the vibe of the 2 resorts is extremely different. TTR is like a crazy party........Desire is very chill! If you do both......do Desire second to recover from TTR!

We've been to both. If money's no object (and on my 20th, it wouldn't be!), Desire.........hands-down. There are a few things I like about Desire that make it trump TTR (and I'm saying this, getting ready to leave in a month for TTR): 1. At 4:00 or so, the party atmosphere at the Desire hot tub is awesome. And, that's where you'll find most everyone staying at the resort. 2. The disco at Desire is the only game in town at night.......and it rocks. IMO, if the disco at TTR was the only nightly option there......I'd likely have a different view of the nightlife there. 3. The resort (Desire) is just a nicer setting. Nothing against TTR. Fenway Park > (________). It's just a fact. 4. From my wife's POV, she likes the fact that everyone's naked at Desire. I know they tout it as clothing-optional, but you'll be in the SLIM minority if you have a stitch on, there. She likes the "level playing field". Although she's a beautiful lady, she despises being ogled (or, feeling that she is). With TTR, you're probably looking at a 50/50 split on which ladies are topless or not (even at the sexy pool) on a given day. If they cost the same, we'd never go anywhere else (besides Desire). Now, before anyone thinks ANY of this is a cut on TTR.....let me say that we've THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stays there, and we'll continue to book vacations there. It's a great place - for what they charge.
Why not split your vacation and go to both places? We did that in August and had great time. It was nice to have change of venue. We used USA Transfer and everything went as planned.:mnm:
Splitting the vacation is a great idea-but with 2 kids at home we could only get away for 4 nights, so I thought splitting would cut up the trip too much. Thanks for the awesome input, it was greatly appreciated. At the end of the day we were just not ready for the fully nude trip yet. The trip report referenced was awesome, read it from start to finish. Hope to meet some of you guys someday on the beach-we'll be at Temptation from the 17th to the 21st of November.
