Hi all! My husband and I are planning to go to Cancun for our 5th wedding anniversary . June 2-9...narrowed it down to GP or TTR....which is best for late 20 yr olds...(28 and 29) Last year we went with a BIG group to grand viva oasis...hands down...BEST vaca! But since it'll just be us two this time...need to know which resort would be best. Totally fine with topless...and skin showing. I don't want to be "bored" but also don't want to be overwhelmed. Were just a young-ish friendly couple looking to have fun and enjoy our time together :)

I have been to both and love both. TTR is more like spring break and theme nights are a blast. More swingers at TTR but no pressure.
Gp had better food and was not boring at all. But we make our own fun where ever we go

Thanks for the feedback! What's the age group for GP typically?

We have been to both also and in my opinion, if you enjoy dancing the night away, TTR is the place to go! There are also more daytime activities at TTR. The water sports are on sight so there is no need to commute to a marina. I agree that GP's steakhouse and Asian restaurant are very good and that TTR should try to come up with a match. On our stay at the GP, we noticed an overwhelming number of parents with their late teens kids in tow which gave the place an odd family atmosphere. JMHO.

We have done both as well. We are early 30's but went in late 220's.gp is good and all but you really can't compare the 2 until u try them both. We are repeaters at TTR now. 2nd time this year actually. So if that helps your decision, I hope

If you enjoyed Viva I would say TTR all the way. Its not the nicest place but clean and the Staffs top notch. The people are great. Heres a few things I came up with.

    Crowd: Party All Day
Food: Average you wont go hungry
Age: Who cares LOL you will see all ages
Swingers: Yes they are around but very respectful you wont have to worry
Entertainment: There is always something going on all day.

If you split your vacation between the 2 resorts, do GP first and then TTR last. Otherwise you'll likely find yourself sitting at the Tiki Bar (@GP) at night wondering what is going on at Paty'Os (@TTR) at that moment. Just sayin'...........

Never been to GP but I think TTR will always win hands down for fun, entertainment and general high energy vibe. TTR is a bit dated but well maintained and clean...staff is the best period! We find the food excellent at the Ala Carte restaurants and quite good with a varied selection at the buffet. The people you will meet and the staff make it for us every time :)

The ET's are top notch and work hard to get everyone involved...participate participate participate is the way to go...pool side and theme nights at Patty O's. June is a good time with a good crowd...you won't be disappointed. If you are not careful you will become repeaters and regret splitting your vaca ;)
