Hi all! We've been to Temptations twice now and was wondering what the major differences were between the two resorts. Is it quieter? Is the property nicer? That kind of stuff. Thanks!
We have done Temptations twice now. We called head and got permission to visit and look around. So we hopped on a city bus and check out the resort. VERY NICE. The lobby, grounds and pools, restaurants, shopping all very nice. Blows TTR out of the water. We did not check out any rooms, so can not speak to that. The ocean views are out of this world. Such beautiful white sand and blue water. No grass. The only down side was the the walk from the street to the resort. Not bad, about 4-5 minutes. I think this will be our home the next time we visit. I also believe that GP folks can go on the boob cruise with folks from TTR. But I could be mistaken. Again, we have not stayed their, just our opinion from walking around. I hope some others will post their thoughts.
yes, folks from GP can go on the Steve's Boobs Cruise. I am actually going to the GP for the very first time this Saturday, so I will have to let you know how it is. There are lots of current pics on TripAdvisor, so you should check them out. It is adults only like Temptaions, however from what I hear, i would rate GP at a "R" where Temptations would come in at "NC17" ........... LOL
My wife and I have gone to Temptations as well and are going to GP for the 1st time June 1st... I'll speak up after going to both. We have stayed on the Gulf side in Cancun before (Gran Caribe Real, Ritz) and prefer that beach wise (so that is kind of what sent us over to GP this time). We barely got into the ocean when staying at Temptations. It will be interesting though attire wise - I will imagine her not being as open to doing the topless thing & wearing a thong like she does at Temptations because number 1 - you arent as noticeable when everyone is doing it and number 2 - its easier to walk down the beach on the gulf side (e.g. kids, teenagers, etc...) than at Temptations which is pretty much locked in.
Hey Farmymg, you'll be there the same time as us (arriving on the 3rd). Tell her to bring the thongs, she can sit next to my wife... she doesn't want to be the only one either. Two more weeks! We can't wait!:icon_cool:
so, has anyone came back from any of 'em recently, or all you still drunk on the beach We have been to Temptation back in Blue Bay Getaway era ... it was acceptably nice with awesome stuff - which pretty much glued us to this resort after hearing that new management introducing changes and Lalo and Omar no longer there and Chinos being on a leash ....not sure if that is a good sign but for sure a great opportunity to try something new - like Golden Parnassus biggest complain I see with Golden P. is that they over book and send peeps to Great P. the one with kids - no quite what we want this trip Truth / false ? How to deal with it ? hows Golden P. in compare to Temptation. now +/- few months greatly appreciate all info
we have been to the GP many times and we absolutely love it, we went to temtations on a day pass and I liked it but I'm still a really big GP fan, we will be back at the GP again June 4th to June 11th, we have never been bumped to the GreatP and I know it only happens in march and april due to Cancun being so busy at that time, if anybody else is going to be at the GP while we are there give me a holler, I'm the one that almost always wears Oklahoma clothing and I'm a big partier and a big practical joker so I'm not hard to spot, we will be with a group of about 10 -12 from Oklahoma, texas, New York and New Jersey
I have to agree, me and my friend were looking at this hotel before booking temptations not much to read about it. I've been to temptations before and it definitely always goes up on the best vacations ever board for me!
