My wife and I would like to have a trip that “spices” things up a bit. She is open to try some new things if it happens. I’ve read plenty of reviews on temptations where the rooms and resort are not that nice. You are pretty much paying for a place where topless is encouraged which is nice. I’ve read up on Desire and I’m afraid for our first “adults” only trip this maybe to extreme with full nudity however the resort is much nicer. Am I correct in these assumptions?
Not really accurate. Not sure when you did your research, but Temptation got a major renovation Aug 2017. Not a facelift, but a major overhaul. All rooms were stripped to the studs and rebuilt, a new tower was put in (includes resultants, nightspot, lobby bar, gym), and the sexy pool was removed and a new larger pool was installed. The resort isn't really the same any longer (and this has it's pros and cons with older Temptation vets), but generally people are pleased, and new guests seem even more pleased, because they don't have the old things we miss to compare it to. The new Temptation is not 5 star (as intended/advertised). It's like a 4.25 IMO. The old Temptation was like a 3.5. Some garden view rooms still aren't great (with regard to location), but booking in the tower or a Jacuzzi will insure a higher quality room. Desire is going to be 5 star. It's a bit more chill, and not the "party party" (if that's what you going for) that Temptation is. For you first trip with anything of this adult nature, it might be pretty ballsy (literally) to jump right into Desire. But obviously I don't know your situation. At Temptation PDA is supposed to be kept behind closed doors, at Desire it will not be.
Thank you. That answers a lot of the answers I needed. I saw a thread on here one time talking about items that were still needed to make stay more enjoyable and that has thrown me off for some reason.
My Recommendation is to use baby steps for things like this we and totally agree with ScubaSteve post. T
Two of the biggest things you can take out of that "Temptation hack" thread you might be referring to are: bring your own bubba mug and suction cups to hang stuff on in the shower are great. Neither of which should break your vacation if you don't have them, haha.
As others have stated, go slow, don’t head or push for the finish line. Let her drive at Temptation, over communicate and enjoy.
We started with Temptations. When the resort closed, we tried Desires. We now split our vacations between the two. Temptations for the party! then to Desire to recoup. You really cant compare them.
If you can stomach the presentation, stay at Temptation but ask for a day pass to go down to RM or Pearl for the day. Gives you a chance to try it out without a week commitment. The thing you'll miss at Desire is that the nights heat up quite a bit. However, best to ease into those things.
depends on what you mean by 'try new things'. if you mean try new people then definitely Desire. If you don't mean that... then Temptation.
