Been checking multiple travel sites for spring 2017 and its showing that they are both sold out for March and April?? Curious if this is for realz? Curious if this is a result of the renos at temptations? Are we just looking too early?
Temptation is going to be sold out in Spring 2017 because the resort is closed from Sept. 26 - August 2017 (approximately) for renovations. Desire could be sold out as well because people normally going to TTR might have already booked at Desire.
Desire is mostly only available on the original resorts Desire websites as they removed many dates from the wholesalers due to the demand and less of a need to reduce prices. May change once things settle.
FYI - previously posted on another thread Original Resorts, who owns both Desire properties and Temptation resort has probably, IMHO, moved in a typical "business" mode to maximize their profits by withdrawing the entire room inventory from all on line agencies for both Desire properties during the Temptation renovation period. The days of discounted Desire pricing thru the on line agencies is probably over(at least until the TTR reno is done) They want to be better able to directly manage bookings(maximize profits) for a their very limited Desire room inventory (114 rooms at RM and 88 rooms at Pearl).
Reminder that if Desire is only available through their own website then remember to use the cancuncare link. Not only will you get the same price, but I will pay your private airport transfers both ways (stays of 3 nights or more). Any time the word 'Desire' on the forum is posted it turns blue (i.e a link) just click that to go to their website under cancuncare's referral - you will see the CCC logo on the Desire site. Hey Steve, would you cover a transfer from Sens to DRM if we booked through Cancuncare? We were booked for a week at TTR in October but can't change our travel dates. We haven't heard back on our reservation specifically yet, but we're assuming we'll be sent to Sens too. We're considering splitting the trip between Sens and DRM.. I'd cover Airport to Sens and Desire back to Airport for you. The hotel to hotel transfer - Sens to Desire you'd need to cover yourself.
Sadly, things haven't settle regarding either Desire locations. As we are premier members, we were going to flip our TTR dates to Desire but both locations are still booked for those dates. Guess an exodus was in the works...ha! Looks like we will be going with the rebooking offer when they open net year.
