We've been to Desire and Hedonism II ..... now fir the first time we are going to Temptation (Jan 29 - Mar 5). If somebody have been to both resorts, can you please to compare them? Just want to be prepared I understand that Temptation is not clothes-optional and not LS (as per official website ) . but what about other stuff like entertainment, nightlife , pools, beach, food ....Do they have foam party in the pool? When? Do they have hot tub? What kind of alcohol ? Is PDA allowed? Any info is appreciated
Have been to all of them. Very Hard to compare them tho. As you point out TTR is not fully nude so that is a big difference for some. And TTR's beach is poor And price point(s) are a factor, But TTR is the 'most fun resort', that you can find on the planet, and still keep your bottoms on. We would rank 1. TTR 1a. DRM (best booze selection of the 3 properties) 2. Hedo But to be honest we liked (long gone) Hedo3 more than Hedo2 However Hedo2 has the best beach so it depends on what is priority. Pros: Hedo-- Beach, Nude, Grotto/Hot tub, Weather DRM--- Couples Only, Service, Chill Vibe, Booze options, Entertainment TTR---Fun, party Vibe, Food quality/options, Staff, distance from airport, Price
Just curious, have you guys been to Hedo since they renovated and Harry took over? I've been to Hedo a few times all since Harry took over and I find it just keeps getting better. They added a restaurant on the beach for dinner. No reservations required for all the restaurants which is pretty nice. I'm going to TTR for the first time this February and look forward to making the comparison.
H3 sure was awesome! Like TTR party - just nakid! And there was nothing like a 2am nakid waterslide right?
We are actually struggling with this for our March/April travel plans. On one hand the Mrs wants to try something different. On the other hand we are worried about whether Hedo will be a let down mostly in the areas of party, condition and whether it attracts a mostly older crowd. What to do. What to do.
Albeit it was 7 years ago, when H3 shut down, we found that H2 had a very much older demographic - think Seniors.com. Peeps that had been going for multiple decades... some def dinosaur wranglers haha - hence our shift to TTR...
The average age of the crowd really depends on the week. Young Swingers week happens (no you don't have to be a swinger to attend) March 16-22. That crowd is mostly 30 somethings and everyone but some of the hosts are under 45. I read about a group that goes towards the end of April who have a lot of younger people in it called the Switch Hitters. I found some party nights better than others. The pool party nights were the best.
We have been to Hedo II this May. Drinks are much much better than in Desire. Shows also better, strippers show was the best I've seen in mylife . Foam party much worse than in Desire. Food in Desire also was better. Since Harry took over, they started to redo rooms. We had Garden View and it was perfect. But my wife didn't like Hedo too much. 2-3 days when some groups arrived , it was fun. But Hedo's entertainment stuff sux....Also my wife is crazy bout beach volleyball, but nobody in Hedo was playing.... There were a lot of seniors who was just sitting, drinking and doing nothing.....Also we don't want to participate in Trivias about how many provinces in Jamaica..... . Desire's 1oo times better from entertainment perspective. So , after we read some nice reviews about Temptation, we want to try it... and it 50-60% cheaper than Desire.... Does Temptation has big hot tub like in Desire? Do guests play volleyball? I personally, don't like that Temptation is not C/O. I hate swimming shirts
Just curious about when you most recently went to Hedo II and which week (group) it was. I have yet to experience TTR and Desire but found the Wednesday night show at Hedo quite special. Like a Cirque du Soliel level of acrobatics/performance (ok definitely not the same production level but the skill of the performers very comparable). I haven't noticed any descriptions of TTR entertainment being on that level. You note DRM for entertainment, would you describe their show that way?
