I am a little confused about the 'pants' that are needed for the dress code that is required in the Temptation restaurants. does this mean no 'jeans' and that 'pants' actually mean trouser/suit type attire that are only acceptable.?? many thanks. eelz arrive 1 week today @3.30 pm
basically here is the rule girls wear whatever they want guys can wear any type of slacks/jeans but not shorts also no flips or open toes shoes for guys rob/t
Just that your hairy legs are not appetizing to me at what is looked upon as a little more special dinner. I know everyone has their opinion but what's wrong with guys covering their legs for 2 hours at what is supposed to be a little more intimate, romantic, special dinner on fine china with dedicated service? I don't know... maybe I'm on the poor side of the group but I look at the visits to the specialty restaurants as well, special. Like going to those fancy restaurants at home that you can't afford to visit more than once a year. So you take a like more time getting ready and your lady dresses up a little more, brings out the nice jewelry. You get in a nice frame of mind. Order a nice 6 course meal and toast each other across a candle lit table... and then a couple comes and sits next to you in tee shirts and shorts. Kind of puts a damper on the whole meal. I don't know... maybe it's just me, but would it kill ya to go along with the intent just once in a while? And Bart, this is not directed against you in particular, you just happen to be the one that made the post. I’ve just have gotten tired of the "I'm on vacation so I want to be able to dress like a slob where ever I go no matter how it effect the people around me and their enjoyment" attitude. ... stepping down off the soap box now.... ps….. if this upsets you sorry…. blame it on the drugs….. Glad to see you back, and hope all is going well. We all have an opinion, and mine is that khaki shorts are more dressy than jeans, although I had not thought about the hairy (or bright white) leg issue  How are the ribs doing? Heard that is the worst thing about surgery.
glad your back jamie .............and you do make a good point about the specialty places. its not like we cant go eat in the buffet with shorts on if we so Desire. should also point out to those whom have never been - eating at on eof these places is an event that will take you a minimum of two hours so be prepared for a long dinner. we ate at the specialties every night we were ther the last time and to be quite honest those two and three hour long meals get a little old after the first two or three so do go these places as the food is great but make sure you dont go every night rob
You can wear shorts to the tex-mex but the last night we were there we decided to go there and couldn't even finish part of our meal because we got eaten alive by mosquitoes. The staff actually went and got bug spray to spray us down but it didn't help at all I have probably 15 bites on me still that are driving me up a wall.
. Two things... I wore linen pants which you can get about anywhere, actually more comfortable than shorts. ALSO.. as far as Mosquitos, OFF brand mosquito repellant has a new "clip on" repellant that is small and you dont have to spray yourself and smell like weed spray chemicals. its brand new and if you are going to be hanging out at the resort at night, I would recommend it. just letting you know. Oh yeah, no open toes for men at the restaurants see you all soon!
Don't know if this changed but last year they would not let me in the Chinese restaurant with jeans. I personally don't mind dress shorts and a nice button up shirt. I sweat easy so buy the time I get down to the restaurant I'm a sweat hog. I don't think people really want to see that either. But I know the rules know, so I will wear dress pants if we go to one of the good places. But honestly I think we will just eat at the buffet.
