Hey Cancun care Peeps, I have been to this resort when it was Blue bay Getaway, and have a few questions with the change of owners, 1. Do they still have the Black Wrist bands for repeat guests? 2. Are we still limited to 3 A la Cartes per 7 day stay? 3. Does the buffet still serve lobster? 4. I love playing Poker, does the casino have poker available? If i was to bring Poker Chips and a few decks, would it be frowned upon to play some cash games. 5. Lookin at the pics, the beach looks nice, but my memory of the beach is very non existwent, have the made any changes? 6. Are we allowed to Jet Ski now? 7. Blue bay getaway we were able to slip the security guard $20USD and he would allow us to sneak in guests, have they tightened up the security 8. Blue Bay Getaway restricted drinks to 2 per visit to the bar, I want to bring an insulated mug, just wondering if that has changed 9. Has basic changed at all, I love the Club's setup, but they play HOUSE all night long, do they have any nights where they play top 40, reggae, Hip hop 10. Blue bay getaway's top shelf liquor was, Bacardi, Canadian Club, Gin, Johnny Walker.....Have the updated their stock to include drinks like; Hennessey, Gran Marnier, Grey Goose?
Ok. Top down here are my answers. I think they are pretty accurate. 1. Do they still have the Black Wrist bands for repeat guests? Nope. Sorry. The Premier guests (ie: timeshare) get gold wristbands but that is it. 2. Are we still limited to 3 A la Cartes per 7 day stay? Nope again. You can go as many times as you want as long as you are willing to make the reservations. 3. Does the buffet still serve lobster? I didn't see lobster but they did have crab one night we were there and shrimp on a different. Boy ate his weight in crab and they didn't even kick him out. All you can eat buffets have done it to him before. 4. I love playing Poker, does the casino have poker available? If i was to bring Poker Chips and a few decks, would it be frowned upon to play some cash games. I haven't seen poker available but I cannot see why they would turn you down. 5. Lookin at the pics, the beach looks nice, but my memory of the beach is very non existwent, have the made any changes? Never went as Blue Bay but everyone I have talked to states that they have made MAJOR improvements on the beach from before. 6. Are we allowed to Jet Ski now? Jet Skiing is available for $40 for 30 minute from the huts on the beach. Be prepared to negotiate to get a better deal. 7. Blue bay getaway we were able to slip the security guard $20USD and he would allow us to sneak in guests, have they tightened up the security. No idea. We never left the resort so we never met anyone to bring in. 8. Blue Bay Getaway restricted drinks to 2 per visit to the bar, I want to bring an insulated mug, just wondering if that has changed Technically this is the rule but we found that a good tip meant that our bartender would refill both mugs and give us as many drinks as necessary. 9. Has basic changed at all, I love the Club's setup, but they play HOUSE all night long, do they have any nights where they play top 40, reggae, Hip hop Someone else.... 10. Blue bay getaway's top shelf liquor was, Bacardi, Canadian Club, Gin, Johnny Walker.....Have the updated their stock to include drinks like; Hennessey, Gran Marnier, Grey Goose? Looks like it's still the same.
2 questions I may be able to help with, #4 the beach was actually very VERY nice, much better than we had anticipated. We were at the Sun Palace last year (known for its beach) and we thought that this place had a beach that wasn't too far removed. #8 Didn't know this was a rule. We used mugs and they were more than happy to fill them whenever we took them to the bar, by the way Oliver at the sexy pool kicks a$$! We got more than 2 drinks quite often, didn't think it was an issue...
