I am so glad that I found this forum before booking our trip to TTR! On Tripadvisor and other review sites all you get is the typical, 'food is okay, fun place, blah, blah, blah...". This has given me some really great insight into what it is actually like there. Seems like a really cool community! Here is a little background. I am 37 and my wife is 32, we are not a lifestyle couple and have never been to a topless optional resort that has such a sexy vibe. We have done other couples only resorts (Sandals and Secrets) and loved it, but never anywhere quite like this. We both like to drink and enjoy a good party but she is generally pretty modest about her body and shy. I don't know why because she is drop-dead gorgeous (34D with the face of Scarlet Johannsen). I am a bit more adventurous than my wife and I wouldn't ever dream that she would be okay with this. In fact, the whole thing came about as an accident. I was looking at booking another AI resorts and TTR had the best price for the time we were looking. I got all the way to the payment screen and then realized what it was. When I told her I almost booked at a "swingers resort" she kind of laughed because she didn't know there was such a thing. Then I actually did a little more research and found out what TTR was actually about. I told her that it wasn't a swingers resort at all but sounded like a big party. I showed her a bunch of the reviews and she was still okay with it. I am one shocked, but happy husband. I am looking for others that may have been in a similar situation before they went to see how their experience was the first time. Did anyone have a wife (or husband) that completely came out of their shell and embraced everything TTR had to offer? Were you nervous before you got there? Did you feel at all uncomfortable around all of the nudity? I am just worried that we are going to get there and it is different that what she thinks and she is not going to enjoy herself. Any advice would be great!

That pretty much hits it, and it's going to be what you are already thinking. My wife and I rolled the dice with only knowing what we read off trip advisor, and it couldn't have played out any better. The best way to get advice is to keep reading trip reviews. Especially ones from newbies. There should be several within the first few pages of this section of the forum, and if you go back one section, there is just an area dedicated to trip reports (TRs) where reviews eventually end up.
Once you arrive and meet all the great people it will not take any time to get acclimated to the environment. My wife was in the same boat and it didn't any time for her to realize that everyone there is there to have a great party and we quickly learned that was the place for us. Have been there six times since and booked again next year. The Boobs Cruise may be a much for her but its the best shit show around and highly recommended. LOL Have a great time!!
My wife was quite nervous about the trip asking why we could not go back to Excellence (because it was boring). Another couple was meeting us there 2 days after us and I guess the ladies had a pact that they would not be topless. Well she greeted them waving from the pool topless. She came out of her shell within the first 3 hours due to some other ladies we met. Best time ever.
You've described exactly how we were before our first time at TTR. My wife couldn't even say "Temptation" without turning red in the face. Within a few hours, the laid back environment allowed her to feel more free than she has anywhere else. This April, we'll be back for our 3rd visit.
Keep in mind at Temptation. "No one knows you and no one gives a shit!!" I think all of us had some nerves before we got there. Now she will not go to any other resort until we have a trip to Temptation booked.

It'll be our first time Jan 29-5 and we are very excited to join the community. After reading and discussing all of the comments, we are getting ready for all the theme nights and the wife is loosening up to the idea of letting go and broadening horizons!! Took me 3 years to talk Katherine into going. Took her an hour to get topless and a day later to win the "anything goes" contest. That was 4 or 5 years ago and heading back for trip #9 Feb 25. You (and more importantly) won't regret booking at TTR
My wife and I took our first trip to TTR this past November and had a blast.Like yourself we visited a number of other AI resorts and we are very loyal to Sandals, been so many times it’s not funny. With us not knowing what to really expect we did a lot of reading in this forum that helped tremendously. We were nervous when we first arrived but that went away very quickly while we waited briefly to check in, we were approached by a young lady that works for TTR offering us a drink and began talking to us like she knew us. When you hear you’ll fit in and will love it. It can’t be anymore true, there are all types of people that are truly very friendly and unlike other AI resorts, we actually had people that talked to us. We were there the same time as the chaos crew and they were a fun bunch of people. For being topless resort you’ll see ALL kind of people young and old topless. My wife surprisingly was topless within 5 minutes of hitting the beach and never felt out of place. We unfortunately didn’t do the Booze Cruise but definitely looked like it would be a blast. We had absolutely no issues with anything including the sales pitch you may read about. It’s safe to say we enjoyed TTR so much that we found a new home and looking to book our second trip in April.
Went to TTR Los Cabos (now desires) 5 years ago. My wife was VERY apprehensive to say the least. Ended up having one of the best vacations of our lives. We met some couples we still keep in contact with. We will be staying at TTR Cancun April 7-13th. We can't wait. Although my wife definitely embraced the party and topless scene.....not sure if she take to the BC. We arrive on a Saturday....I guess I/we have 2 days to persuade her
