We're completely undecided between going in August for four days to Temptation or Desire pearl. We know they are completely different hotels. We've been in Hedonism, and Desire, we know that Temptation it's also fun, but we never been there, can you tell us if there are lots of couples in 30's and if we want to relax a little bit from parties its possible? And the beach? We think that's impossible to have a bed near the pool, and in the beach is possible? Opinions? Obrigado
Temptation is a younger crowd than Desire - Desire is generally upper 40's, while Temptation is lower 40's. Temptation is also a much larger resort - August is low season so the resorts will not be full. Pearl = 88-rooms, Temptation = 370-rooms. Temptation beach is great - the water rather sucks though. It's not Pearl or RM thats for damn sure but its white and sandy and large - no shade or palm trees like Pearl and no palapa huts. Beach beds? Temptation has the majority of them reserved for Premier members, but I'm guessing for a $20 tip one of the Premier servers will let you hang out for the day as in August it will not be super full. There are plenty of loungers on the beach and lots around the sexy pool & quiet pool. There are about 6-beds around the Sports pool that are up for grabs as well. You pay for what you get - Temptation is less than half the price of Pearl so the alcohol selection, food selection is not as good. Service while good is not at the level of Pearl. Rooms are not as good either. Temptation is lots of fun though and if you go you will have a very good time you just have to lower your Pearl standards a bit.
We have been to TTR in August and had a great time. The majority is younger than pearl but it is more of of a party atmosphere. You can always go to the beach and relax with a quiet vibe. But as posted above you get what you pay for. Don't expect the best food or drinks, it's more about the people and party vibe that keeps folks coming back.
Temptation is a dump. So if ur looking for a well rounded trip don't go there. If u don't care about air conditioning, food, drinks, service and just want fun then go there.
Not everyone thinks TTR is failing in any or all of these areas. I've never had a problem with AC/food/drinks/service at Temptation.
