I saw that just now as well. Obviously there aren't very many details. But to me it is way too short of a vacation (5 days) depending on cost. And also a major factor is if it is all-inclusive.

***Note to self, don't book a Temptation vacation for the week that involves these dates.

I was thinking the same thing...only 5 days?!?! And Good point on the all-inclusive...it would probably get a little pricey if our booze wasn't included...I would need to start budgeting now! HA!

Yea that's my thing with a cruise in general. If I was to ever go on one, it would have to have a great drink package, as tabs and I do not always work out. I am not sure if it works that way with drink package offerings on a specialty cruise. Hopefully TTR management has negotiated that already knowing their clientele. I wonder what it was like on the past Desire cruises. My sister in law goes on the groove cruise every year out of Miami, she said it could get very expensive. But drinking on the cruise isn't their top priority, as it is a EDM rave style party.

What could possibly be the appeal? There is zero doubt this will be much more expensive than a 5 day trip to Temptation. The pool will be 20x smaller, the rooms smaller, the weather more unpleasant. The only appeal I can see is if you just want to experience a cruise, and this gives you an excuse to do so.

    No thanks.

Seems like a cool idea in theory only. I’d be too worried about falling overboard knowing how drunk we get at TTR. No thanks, we will stick with the resort.

Granted its 2 years out so the price will be near if not at absolute maximum--but looking at it, the cost is ridiculous and alcohol is not even included. Better off just going to the resort, can get a longer trip, everything included at not even half the cost. We'll be taking a pass on it at the moment.

Here is a link to the website for the cruise:
    Temptation Caribbean Cruise
Per the website: Topless-optional areas: All pools, sun decks and designated events. (Not sure what "designated events" would be, but I think a reasonable guess would be the nightly party in the nightclub??)

Drinks are not included. There will be drink packages - however, pricing is not shown.

A few reasons this might be appealing - stops in Grand Cayman (the 7 mile beach is stunning) and Cozumel. There is a casino on board.

However - the cost looks like it is about 2.5 times the cost of this cruise if you went on a vanilla version of the cruise. An ocean view room is almost 3000 for the Temptation Cruise (which includes a $425 per PERSON cost for fees, taxes and gratuities). I checked the Royal Caribbean website and the same cruise leaving on Feb 9, 2019 (there are no prices for 2020, so I am sure there will be some increase for 2020) is 1260 (including taxes and fees but not gratuities). UNKNOWN: The normal cruise includes surcharges for many of the specialty restaurants - can't tell from the website if that is included in the Temptation Price.

Here is the full pricelist for the Temptation Cruise. Be sure to check the notes at the bottom regarding the additional fees.

Anyone who's ever taken a cruise knows how hard it is to find your stateroom even when you are stone cold sober. Imagine after a TTR-style day at the pool? There'd be 1000 lost souls roaming the ship at 6 pm.

As L&E said, cruise ship pools are way too small to accommodate 2000 people. I can't even imagine how that would work. The party would have to be spread out over numerous areas of the ship, which would be a real vibe killer.

Having ports of call will trash the party on the port days. And who is going to get up early enough to actually disembark at each port? Usually you leave the ship between 8 and 10 in the morning at ports.

Not sure why this seems like a good idea to Original Resorts. o_O
