Temptation in cabo was good in public areas. someone posted the code and we got to the use it the whole time without paying. Anyone have the code for this year? or can someone post it in 2013? we would only need to use is 10-15 min a day

We used the computers in the lobby to check email once and had no issues, and somebody at the computer next to us was skyping with their child with no issues...

Well the internet at TTR in Cancun isn't that fast, you would have a hard time getting a fast enough speed for video chat. Also they link it to your room number. Maybe someone who has paid for internet will help you out. Otherwise you could always just spend $5 and do the email thing etc in the lobby for a half hour too. Other than that you may need to find an internet cafe or something.

No code. They sell internet cards, via a broken machine, or you can buy time via the web page that comes up. $15 per day.. It's ssssssssssllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwwwww wi fi. The system was different, and better in may. May it was much faster. Sept it took me thirty mins to check into my flight. So painful. Lol

They stopped the room number thing. New provider I would guess. Old system I could be on the bed checking email, or whatever. This one I was standing with my arms stretched out in the air searching for signal.. Same room pretty much.

Skype and shut off the video feed, just use the sound, or buy a Mexican Sim card for your Smart phone (about 30$ for a month and 1GB) ( has to be unlocked)

The problem is that the Cancun location is an older hotel. They may have a way to accomodate you but don't be surprised if it costs a few $. There is a chance you might have to wander to the party zone and look up a Starbucks or something. Maybe PM Steve (owner of the site). He may have some insight as well.

Also if you have a smartphone with skype or other video calling software etc see if your provider has an out of country DATA package for the time you will be in Cancun.

you must be good parents, when I was a kid and my mom and dad went away they dropped us off with grandma and grandpa. I'm pretty sure the wheels didn't stop moving and that would be the last I'd hear of them for a week or two lol!

I have been wondering the same thing as I want to FaceTime with my son or Skype.....whatever is easier. I know we can get a text plan that will allow us to text back and forth at a decent price but. Would like t be able to talk to him and see him too. I am going to check with our Aliant provider. If you find out anything please post here. Thanks
