I heard about that and I think the airline did the right thing. I have had the pleasure of flying all the way home from Cancun with a little brat (3+yrs old)behind me that kicked the seat and screamed the whole way and the parents just let her do it. :evil: They are lucky that the airline refunded their airfare. The father has alot of nerve saying he'll never fly that airline again.. especially after they paid them back and offered them another round trip flight on the airline. If you can't control your own child then you have a problem.
Hey its not just children that act inappropriately when flying- being scared makes grown ups act in irresponsible ways too. How many times have we all witnessed people getting slowly drunk and obnoxious on flights? Flying really does bring out the worst in us.You have to get up really early to get to the airport ,hang around in a queue waiting to check in , then hang around for 3 hours waiting to board.Then fight for your seat down a really narrow aisle.Its hideous.!!!! How many of us would simply love to have that three year old tantrum ? Tracey x
Any adult that causes trouble on a plane (drunk or otherwise) should be arrested and charge. No excuses. If you know you get stupid when you drink ... DON'T DRINK BEFORE FLYING. As for the early start times and etc..... it would be easier to bear if 1. everyone had more of a sense of humour instead of me me me me me me etc..... and 2. if we could get rid of the people who get stupid in the terminal and on the plane. Be nice to other people and they'll be nice to you.
Tantrums will happen, by kids and by adults. But just like anything else in life, there are consequences for your actions. I think it's ridiculous that they refunded their tickets AND gave them vouchers for the future. They didn't fly, then they don't pay.... fine. But don't reward them for it.
I agree that us adults would like to have a tantrum, but I know I was raised to behave properly in public and know better then to act like a spoiled brat if I dont get my way. Just my opinion... Debbie
ugh kicking of the seat is so annoying! or i hate when people lean their seat all the way back and are practically laying in your lap.. NOT comfortable but other than that, i think flying is so fun (minus the fact that sometimes my ears hurt)
