It is pox on the Harper government. they should be turfed out for this alone, nevermind a myriad of other unacceptable policies, positions and behaviours. Payoffs to senators, outright lies and deceit. And when it gets to be too much they shutdown parliament or hide in a closet. It is hypocritical how they love photo ops with military, but treat vets like disposable antiques. Harper appointed Fantino ( a marginal cop who benefitted from cronyism) to be a catalyst ( an attack dog) with Vets, so he could appear as the good cop, after he ditched him. It was all by design to make Vets feel relived and blessed that Fantino was shuffled. It was a poor guise in that a member of the thin blue line somehow would be rspected by Vets. Unfortuantely who else is there to vote for? Justin? No thanks one Trudeau was enuff to last a lifetime. So the only thing we are able to do is cut a monthly cheque to the Canadian Veterans Advocacy and support Michael Blais in his fight for all Vets to receive their entitlements. ( remember David Dingwall's rant about his entitlements?) we have been doing it since one of our Argyles a personal friend)was brutally murdered in Ottawa. What I would love to see happen, is if Cherry followed Mercer's lead, and use his high profile paulpit to go off about this BS live on Coaches Corner one Saturday night. And throw in Rex Murphy with a scathing diatribe after At Issue on a Thursday night. (And good on Rick for having the stones with this rant). The media has to put on a full court press to stop this disgusting stance by the Harperites!. And then... Would that rouse the nation into demanding Vets be treated properly and fairly?
