1. Taxis do not have an average price, really. Everything is negotiable at the curbside, best to negotiate before yu go anywhere. That being said, generally a $15 USD to the club zone is a decent trip price, though talking the guy down to $10 can be managed sometimes but might not be worth the time it takes. 2. You won't really want to go to a club if you are at Temptation, just saying. You are already AT the best party spot in Cancun.
Click onto USA Transfers! They are the best. Very reliable and easy. $35 US for us in a private vehicle. Don't have to pre-pay just pay the driver.
last time there, we had a cabbie take us downtown to 3 stores, then down to the shopping mall on the strip. We had him for about 2 hours and it was $30. Absolutely negotiate a price before you take off though. There are always a few cabs outside of TTR. As said earlier, the bus system is awesome and it's a buck 1 way either to downtown or the shopping areas towards the airport and they run constantly. :crab:
So they have set taxi rates posted to certain zones. For example Puerto morales is 600 pesos (always pay with pesos as nothing is worse than the taxi exchange rate). Are some of you saying you have successfully negotiated lower rates when departing the hotel? Didn't realize this was possible. Know of course once out and about everything is negotiable.
You can save a buck or two by catching one on the street vs one at the hotel. Not sure if it is worth the hassle, as it is very easy for Alfredo or another one of the bell staff to hail the taxi for you. The language barrier can be a challenge also.
9 am cigar run. Who knew finding a decent cigar in Mexico would be so difficult? We'd agree otherwise. We went on the bar crawl they used to offer when it was still Blue Bay years ago, but don't know why you'd leave TTR especially at night anymore.:mnm:
