Taxi Question

I have to break away fro a night at Temptation to go to a wedding reception at Finest Mujeres, 20 miles north of the city.

I have heard the horror stories about taxis. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you can setup a custom transfer with USA Transfers for the night. I don't know if they do this, but it's worth a shot especially if you know your times.

Also, is there a general tip amount for those drivers?

I don't know what a good tip amount is for the drivers. No one talks about it much, so any feedback on 2 person transport is welcome. Guess I usually give $15 or $20 USD, depending on how many of their beers I drink haha.
