    Hi Everyone,

I did not book a shuttle for our trip that is coming up. I had read on here that is like $20 to take a taxi from the airport, way cheaper. I have 2 questions. First, how do I know that I am not getting involved with time share people, is there an actual taxi line that I can just go directly to (inside or outside of the airport)? Second, on the return from the hotel to the airport, will the hotel desk call a taxi for me if I ask them to?

    Thanks!

    Terri

    Taxi?

I would guess it's going to cost you alot more than $20 for a taxi to Temptation Cabo. It's a long trip from the airport to the resort.
We used http://www.transcabo.com, I think the round trip price was about $110, round trip.
Sorry that is all the info I got.

We used Olympus Tours for our transfer last April and we were very happy. It is about a 30-45 minute drive to the resort so I would suspect the taxi fare could be a bit hefty. A quick piece of advice is after your luggage is checked go right outside to get your ground transportation. Everyone in the airport is trying to sell you timeshares under some other guise, be wary. We learned the hard way in April and wasted 15-20 minutes trying to get away from those people. I'm pretty sure they don't allow any taxi or transfer drivers inside. Good luck, we'll see you by the pool. 11/5/10 -11/12/10.

We used Graylines ($60 for 2 round trip), we shared with others. Temptations was the first drop off from the airport, however we waited about 30 minutes at the airport for the rest of travelers. According to the resort a taxi one way to the resort is $25, plus you aren't waiting for anyone and you get right there.

After customs you will go through a door to a "lobby" area where all the time share people are...look forward, head to your right and keep walking, they will lie and say they are part of the transfer but the are not. The bar is directly outside the door, outside you will see all the transfer companies (the transfer employees have their company name and logo on their shirts) you will also see the taxis, if unsure ask any of the transfer employees as they are helpful.

Thanks everyone for the respones! I think we will wing it and go for the taxi....there are 4 of us going, so even if they charge us $60 each way, it sounds like it would still be cheaper (or the same price as Ace paid). I will post the outcome when I get back :).

I dont know what I was thinking, but I thought that Temptation Cabo was only 10 minutes from the airport....I guess I was WRONG :)

We have always used Grayline shared shuttle but we are considering taking a taxi for our next trip in a few weeks, looking forward to hear how taking a taxi worked out for you.

We used transcabo to get us to temptations (60 bucks) and took a cab back (35). I recommend transcabo, there is no hassle and the AC works plus a cold water is a great treat after dealing with customs/ timeshre crowd. My two cents, if there is 6 of you 10 bucks a head is a screaming deal
