For any parents out there. I was wondering when is it okay for children to move from a car seat to a booster seat. And if they had any recommendation on a car seat and/or booster seat with high review ratings. I've heard the Voyage Booster is really excellent because of high rating and its more smaller for compact size.

Anyways if anyone had any recommendation or suggestion, I would really appericate it.

According to the weight requirements I believe a 3 y/o is too small for a booster seat.

You should be able to google the info regarding weight/age.

As for a specific brand they all need to meet specific guidelines so any should be adequate :D

What a good God mom you are :D

    Good luck :!: :!:

Something I found when I googled booster seat safety...............

If your child weighs less than 40 pounds, consider using a combination car seat and booster seat. These seats come with a removable five-point harness that's similar to those used in regular car seats. This is considered the safest type of harness because the straps restrain your child at both the shoulders and hips, distributing the force of a collision to the strongest parts of the body. For the best protection, you'll want to use the harness as long as possible, so choose a seat that has several harness-strap height settings, especially if your child is tall.

I've heard the rule 5 yrs old or 50lbs....the commercial on TV now says booster seats until they are 4'9"...not sure about this, as I know some adults who are not quite 5' even!

I would get a combination booster/car seat like Denise pointed out...something along these lines, we had pretty much this same Eddie Bauer seat, only in natural tan and evergreen:

The pillow is removeable...it actually is secured by velcro on the back and flops over to the front and hangs...if that makes sense.

I just got my daughter a booster seat about a month ago. She will be 6 in November. She is just under 40 lbs. She loves it but trying to take a nap now in the car, she doesn't have the head support that she was used to. I would suggest the combination seat.
