This season the survivor tribes will be seperated by race do you agree or disagree with this new twist?????
Good post...didn't think about doing a poll. My vote was for yes. RI GAL and I had discussed earlier and I feel that if the participants don't have a problem with it...then so be it!
I like the idea because in the past, you never had more than 1 or 2 "token" people of color on the show. I sorta liken this show to affirmative action.....making up for all those shows that had only "token" representation. I think the show will do more good than harm. Some people in this country have never had a friend "of color" and perhaps this show will open their eyes a bit in a non-treatening, positive manner. They'll see that some of the sterotypes they were fed as kids and that they formerly beleived aren't true across the board. Should be a great show! Michelle
So true Michelle ! My friends and I often talk, at the beginning of a reality show, about the "token" black person, gay person, hispanic, etc. Hope this season is good. Survivor hasn't been my favorite show lately.
IM GLAD THEY ARNT BUCKING DOWN .. GM PULLING OUT WAS A CHEEP SHOUT.SAID IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT .. RIGHT.
I am hoping this season we will all learn from the way the tribes are split....I personally feel it's an excellent idea!!! I find the way people inter-act fascinating and I think this year will be very interesting :!:
Dont think we have this show in the UK yet - but so long as it isnt offensive to the participants then cant see a problem with it. As someone who has a black partner and is in a mixed relationship - it often shocks me that people still find the mixing of colour wrong - I have definately been educated since being in this relationship, which is entirely different to having friends of colour. Sounds like an interesting show!!
