We will be in Cancun on Feb, 7th 2010. Where is the best place to watch the Superbowl in the hotel zone? Will it also be televised at the resort? Thanks.
just my opinion ----------> but if you are wanting to watch the game in the hotel zone you really cant go wrong with carlos and charlies. i have seen several nfl games there and they always do a great job on entertaining you
Opinions are just what we are looking for. In this case we did not know that Carlos n Charlies televised sports, so thank you. Does TTR have a decent sports bar? Last we were there, there were no televsions [that I can remember anyway] in the alt bar downstairs.
I know what they have often done in the past is the staff organise a trip somewhere off resort to watch it - usually Carlos N Charlies. Almost every restaurant or bar in the hotel zone will be showing it. They will show it at the hotel but I doubt it's as good an atmosphere as going off resort. The screens are likely smaller, and the commentary most likely will be in Spanish. What you'll probably want to do is choose one of the larger places that are known for their sports coverage - they'll likely have US TV via satellite with English commentary and the US commercials. Smaller places will have Spanish commentary and Mexican commercials. Bigger places in the Hotel Zone include: Carlos N Charlies Pat O Briens (my personal favourite for football (soccer)) Outback Steakhouse Champions Sports Bar (Marriot Hotel) Hooters
There is a Steak House across the street that always has sports on thier TV's.I never been inside the restaurant but you cant miss it.

Geaux Saints!!! We were on the resort when the Saints played (kicked the tar out of) the Patriots. We watched the game at the sports bar on the resort and had a great time. We had a nice sized group watching and with a small $5 tip they turned both of the huge big screens Wii TV's to the game with the volume up. Nothing like chilling on the couches and stools watching the game with the staff bringing free shots and rounds of drinks and all TVs on the game, very comfortable... WHO DAT!!!
