Anyone else had problem flying with Sunwing? We used them in March and I can honestly say I wouldn't use them again if it was free! The delayed our flight 11hrs costing us a full day without reason. Only explanation ever given was the plane is delayed, no compensation not even a sorry. Worst part is you can't even complain to anyone....for customer service you have to email them (phoning isn't an option) and it has to be after you return from your trip. What a joke!!! Didn't even bother after looking online and found they never reply. Help put these fools out of business by telling everyone you know :whisper:
They're currently the only option for all inclusive to TTR out of Newfoundland. Any other set up--flights +hotel separately are way too expensive as flights from Newfoundland are +++$$$! We flew with them a few times. Only problem was they ran out of food choices each time.
We flew with them to TTR Apr 18-25 and they were awesome I have to say. Flew on schedule, meals were actually good and staff was very friendly. I can't say anything negative about them based on our flight.
Only good to say from me I travelled with them twice this year. Once to Cancun and just got back from Cuba last Saturday, plus several other trips over the last few years. I'm also from NL, so direct flights south are only offered by Sunwing. Great service, even with all the turbulines !! One of the flight attendants recognized me last week from the flight I took in late March...amazing !!
I honestly have to say I'm surprised if you've used them that much. When we got home we looked online and found what seemed like endless complaints about them. I'm happy it sounds like the problem isn't as bad as I thought.
We have also flown with them twice since March. Once to Cancun and once to Jamaica. I can honestly say I don't have one complaint, actually I thought there staff and service was better than canjet and airtransat.
Travelled with Sunwing for my Feb trip. Flight down and coming back both changed. (Not to my benefit) my flights were no longer direct! While waiting to board on the way down, I spoke to many people. Everyone I spoke to had their flights changed. Many of them would now miss their connecting flight on the way home (no compensation) One at the resort I spoke to a number of people from other parts of Canada who had their flights changed. I will do what I can not to book with them again.
