Looking for suggestions on good sunscreen and after-tan lotion (to help with burns, moisturizing, etc.) Prefer something we can order on Amazon (need this week LOL!).

I think when the folks were selling stuff at TTR last fall they said don't get anything where the main ingredient is water?

We've been pre-tanning which helps somewhat but still need some protection.

    Thanks!

I like the Hempz Body Moisturizer for after being in the sun. We use the sports version of the spray on sunscreen. The sports version works better if you hang out in the pool/beach! Also a hat helps to keep the sun off you.

HIGHLY recommend the aftertan lotion they sell at the resort by the pool with Rosehip and Aloe. I think its called Natural Source or something like that? Just found out last trip they have it in the giftshop too for the same price. It's awesome. For sunscreen don't go with an aerosol as they contain alcohol and "propane/butane" additives that can make your burn worse. Last two trips I was able to find a couple of pump sprays that were convenient and worked great with out the propellants of aerosols. And make sure whatever you use is NOT past its expiry date. It DOES matter, I found out the hard way a couple of years ago as did a friend of ours this trip. She used 55 block on her face and couldn't figure out why she got burned bad. I asked her if she checked the expiry and sure enough it was past its date.

Do they still sell the stuff at the resort by the pool? Thought I read in another thread that they aren't there anymore?

We've always used regular off the shelf spf 30 and have never had a problem, and we're both very fair skinned and don't pre-tan. The key is reapplying regularly! And by regularly I mean about once an hour. We take about 3 bottles for each week there. Be smart and take more than you need or like Donald said you'll pay for it.

There was a huge study about 1-2 years ago, and the best performing were Banana Boat sport and the Target Up and Up brand sport. I've used those two ever since, and haven't burned. But you do have to put them on about half an hour before you go out and keep applying every few hours.

We have used Riemann P20 for the last 5 or 6 years while in Spain, it now comes in factors up to 50. Just applied once a day ,active after 15mins and is highly water resistant.
