We have always gone to Cancun in the spring. We have never been in the summer. We are thinking about going this summer.... Is the weather bearable? I know it will be about 90 but I have heard the humidity is horrible...... I usually dont like the heat so much. When we go in the spring the weather is perfect..... We can go the end of June/start of July... Or the first 2 weeks of August.... Or should I just wait for next spring and go to Hawai again this summer....

I am from Philadelphia, and every day last year it was hotter and more humid there then here in Cancun. Mind you, we are closer to the equator, so it is the strength of the sun that makes it hot and at some points unbearable. But you will be at a resort...with a pool and an ocean.

Coming from So Cal you should be fine.

The humidity can be tough but you're more likely to experience higher actual temperatures back home.

If I can manage it as a pasty white Brit I'm sure you can!

We have been to both Cancun and Honolulu, and we can say that Cancun kicks Honolulu's ass 10 times over. And this was the view from our suite on Waikiki Beach:

My 2 cents for what its worth living in South Florida with crazy heat and humidity. It is air conditioned inside and the humidity plays no part in the equation. However, if your outside you are going to sweat. Not a problem when you are at the beach or in the pool. It can be a problem at night if you want to dance at Paty O's. We are used to it and deal with it but at times it can be annoying. I have been to Hawaii as well and don't see the allure after going once. We have been to Mexico 5 times in the past 15 months. 2 times to Temptations. For us it is QUICK, INEXPENSIVE, and FUN. Cant really think of going anywhere else for the price. The Dominican Republic was our old stomping grounds but airfare got crazy expensive. Seems that Mexico is getting that way for us now. THe airfare has climed to almost $200 per person more due to the gas prices I guess or greed. Alot more to do in the Cancun area and great prices as well. Hope this helps.

Yes I have been to both Hawaii and Cancun.... I agree that Cancun is far better. The only reason that we go to Hawaii is we think it might be too hot in the summer for Cancun. So we go to Hawaii where it is 80 and no humidity.... I am thinking about Cancun this summer.
