Walmart has this STUPID NEW RULE that you cannot pay in dollars unless your purchase is 90% of the amount you are paying with. I knew about it but what is equally sod is that they have it posted at the cash register, which you see only after you have trudged through the store me loaded your cart me stood in often a long line and then try to pay the notice is posted about waist high. Idiots Last night I rang up $ 155.??, when converted from pesos to dollars, and gave them $170.00. All hell then broke loose. They would not complete my transaction. I told them that 90% of $170 was $153 and this met their requirement. A supervisor came and she was equally or more stupid than the cashier. I argued out of principal for at least ten minutes before caving in, taking back a $20 USD and giving them a $50 peso bill. Had I not been with two guests I would have walked out and let them restock the mdse. The posted rule actually reads that your change cannot be more than 10% of the dollars presented which it was not. They pass this off, in writing, as being a requirement of Haciend and the Banking Commission, the Mexican equivalent if the IRS and the Federal Reserve System. Other Walmarts in Cancun, Sams Club, and Walmart companies Superama and Bodega Aurrera do not have this stupid rule. Makes me crazy. F'ing Idiots.
