Does the Walmart in Cancun accept USD, or Pesos? May need to pick up a few things...soon after my arrival. And are cell phones (Go phones) prohibited from the resort? Have a need to bring it along...in case there is a flight change enroute. That being the case, I would need to contact the transit service during my layover in Dallas.
Yes Walmart accepts USD as does almost every place & everything you want to do in Cancun. Never had a problem. As far as the cellphone, I use mine almost everyday. We have Verizon & added international calling a few years ago that cuts phone bills way down. Actually text more than call. Hope this helps Scott
phone we have att i think it was 69cts a minute for calling home, vs the long distance land line several years ago-- about 45-60 per call home.
they do accept both, HOWEVER they do not take large american bills. for sure not ben franklins. not sure about 50's. they have signs posted at the check outs. probably has to do with change more than anything,.
