I am starting to pack our bags for our trip the 23-29th. WooHoo!!!!! :clappyinghappy: I don't think I have been this excited for a vacation in a long time! Anyway...I was wondering how cold does it get at night around this time? Should I bring jeans/pants? Any other suggestions for things to bring that I may forget/not think of would be great. See you all in the sexy pool!!! :headbanger:
Well we are first timers but if they have a Lingerie night etc I'm sure I won't be that cold but a pair of nice jeans is always a good idea
Just depends on how lucky you get with the weather. We went last January and had one full day of rain and wind. So one pair of pants and a long sleeve shirt is probably a good idea.
I know I will have sweats on and a sweatshirt with me when we first arrive. Coming from Northern Ohio and Detroit airport means it just won't work to wear your shorts/skirt. I'm thinking I am going to bring my "ass jeans" as my husband calls them (they are pretty tight) just to be safe.
Cold is very relative - and 'cold' might be 68 degrees - lol - which would be blissful to most this time of year. He humidity makes it feel warmer, and warm clothes make you sweaty. I could not wear long pants like jeans there, I would suffocate! Even when it rains it is warm - but a light sweater might help if out on the beach late at night. Dancing and hanging at Paty O's will be warmish, no matter what (unless some really strange cold snap happens, like in SoCal right now). The biggest problem for us is that we have to wear warm clothes to the airport, but have to change or be very uncomfortable after we land in Cancun! Last January I was a sweaty sticky mess in my travel pants/shirt after the ride from the airport to the hotel!
Agree on the airport clothes! I try to dress in layers so I can take things off after we land (and then more when we get to the resort!). We were in Cancun in April 2010 and it got chilly at times. But, it was a boring retirement resort and we weren't doing any dancing or anything. It also rained almost the entire trip (and not the short showers but down pours that lasted all day) so I think that was part of the issue.
Most theme night outfits don't are not cold weather friendly, but last year at the same time it wasn't too cool in the evening. Plus there will be 100's of other people there keeping it warmer with body heat.
When we would go down over New Year's I would always take down and wear my jeans. Now that we've switched to March I don't pack them at all. On a side note though I am typically freezing. If I were you I would take them just in case. Have a great time! D
