Leaving CC for the weekend...coming back Monday to see this thread full of great ideas of what to do in and around St. Louis. Will be heading out there near the end of the month.
I think that's where Dan (Cancunbound) is from so hopefully he'll have some ideas for you. Dennis just visted him out there a few weeks ago. One thing would be to check out the Arch..touristy but a killer view.
Some interesting sites/touristy type; Gateway Arch, AB Brewery, STL City Museum, Zoo at Forest Park, Soulard Market Culture type ideas; Museums at Forest Park, Fox Theater, Party areas; Laclede's Landing, Washington Avenue area, Central West End, several all-night ballets on the east side, Fast Eddie's Bonair in Alton Dining; The Hill area for Italian, Tony's and Kimo's in downtown, hundreds of small restaurants for different foods Gambling; Harrah's, Ameristar, Casino Queen PM me for any specifics
stop by the St. Louis Cardinals new stadium...........its empty this time of year!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Fast Eddie's across the bridge in Alton, IL (5 minutes from me). Legendary bar with great food and great live music. Hit Laclede's Landing and Soulard for some good nightlife. The touristy stuff - the Arch, Forest Park (zoo, museums, etc.), Science Center. And yes, Busch Stadium is empty, but at least we've got 10 World Series banners flying. Oh yeah, and Rams tickets are VERY easy to come by if you like watching a pee wee team play. Even as bad as they are, the tailgating is worth it.
im pretty sure my old man and younger brother have given up on them.....and for appropriate reasons.....marc bulger has even been dropped in a bunch of fantasy leagues of mine, after being drafted in the 1-2 rounds......but i feel your pain im a Phin's fan
Fast Eddie's Bonair is 20 minutes for us, and a must see for a good time. I am always surprised at how many first timers are there. Seems like someone is always asking us questions like where is the restroom. I thought everyone in the STL area knew about Bonair. Do you go to the Regal Beagle very often?
