OK so I want to switch it up and wear some square cut smaller swim shorts this trip. I actually tried this last trip and ordered a few pairs online, but after putting them on Elyse just laughed at me. I guess the verdict was that I ordered ones from China and they were extremely small and she said they actual were more demasculinizing than they were attractive.

We saw other people in the smaller shorts, but they weren't like the more underwear like ones I ordered. So my question is this: does anyone know a site to order shorts that would be something in between board shorts and "underwear like" square cuts?

    Thanks for any assistance!

Yea those are a little small probably as well, but they do look comfortable. I can't click on the second site at work, but I will later. I guess maybe saying square cut isn't the right description. I'm 6 ft 220 lbs, and looked a little squeezed into those.

I actually just came across these on Amazon, so maybe these are more what I am looking for. Just a smaller and shorter bathing suit than knee length board shorts. I just hate the idea that these have a lining.

Oh, okay. Thought you were looking for the stretchy kind. Donald, you can stand down.

Have you tried cruising places like Marshalls and Ross? They get swim shorts of all different styles there. Always hit and miss in these kinds of clearinghouse stores, but if you are prepared to swing by there regularly, eventually you get what you want. AND unlike online shopping, you can try it on.

If you don't like the lining, grab a pair of scissors!

I've purchased a few Gary Majdell brand suits from eBay and Amazon. I like this brand because many of the styles have a pouch in the front and they don't smash the 'ol hangdown as much as others. There were a few longer than these also.

I must admit. They are snug.

The first time, I hadn't realized how much adjustment my boys needed down there and ... uhm... hurt myself. Was sore for 48 hours after trying them.

Now I'm more careful. Not making that mistake twice.

Try sauvage swimwear, they do a brilliant mid range trunk with a little bit more room to move. I have both their square cut and their trunks.
