Ah it was a thing of beauty to watch the San Antonio Spurs celebrate their 4th NBA Championship in 9 years tonight......what made it even better was doing it on Lebron James' homecourt what a great night in sports.....

no, but 5 would make them a dynasty. AND look who they just beat, hardly a ................ worthy team! Sup par team I would say. Spurs are a GREAT team, hands down!! Not a dynasty!

The ways things are right now...no Eastern Conference team would have been able to make this a series. Maybe win a game. Possibly two. But, none would have been a serious challenge for the title. Are the Spurs the victims of poor competition from the East?

Bloggers are debating that right now. Many are suggesting a 16-team format rather than eight from each conference battling it out to become finalists. That way the stronger teams (mostly from the West) would probably be represented in the Finals.

spurs just dont do it for me. A good team, but I think had dallas gotten to them, it would have been different! AND, phoenix got ripped off by getting their players suspended and would have beat the spurs. All excuses aside, the spurs did win and have a good team! But a dynasty, they are not! You can NOT put them in with the bulls, lakers, celtics, pistons!

    I'm with you, Jason.

They have a ways to go before they can be considered a dynasty and be considered to be in the same league as the Bull, Celtics etc.

But they certainly deserve kudos for what they've done up until now. But to be a dynasty..well, in my opinion they still have some work to do on that end.
