we stayed at Temptation this year in beginning of may. we had a great time. we were thinking about coming back to Temptation in march 21st for my b day but we wanna know if the vibe is gonna be the same or do the place get over run with spring breakers. we like to party and have a good time, but don't wanna go to a all out college frat party. we wanna go down have be treated with the same respect we were this time. if anyone can answer this that would be great. we are hoping to book within a week or two and cant decide when. also I am new to this site. I tried to put up a profile pic but I havnt been able too. any ideas thanks in advance.
It will definitely be a different vibe. Hey, it is still way better than home. But every end of March, early April there are trip reports complaining about the vibe changing due to the amount of single guys. If that matters to you, understanding that for some it doesn't, then I would avoid that time. It matters to us so we avoid it. Again, to avoid the rebuttals that usually come w this discussion, we understand how some don't mind and like it
If I didn't love all the people we met while there first week of May, I'd LOVE to give that time frame a try :flash: But I'm a dirty old lady!
thanks thanks, we will stay away. we rather meet new people and have a good time without all the extra attention. with saying that we are young ourselves and like to party but rather meet other couples young and old. we are thinking about doin a 2 week vacation there this time. weve been to cancun 3 times but only at Temptation for 2 days due to us leaving oasis sens 2 days early cause of bugs in our room and a hotel night manager grabbing my wife.
Hotel night manager grabbing your wife??? U have to tell this story now. You can't just casually mention it and leave it at that. What happened and what was done about it?
Re the profile pic question, do you mean avatar? Click on 'user cp' then avatar on the left. Then you will see an option to upload a pic. It needs to be less than 97kb I believe. If it is too big it won't load. If it is close to 97kb then it may load sideways. Definitely should cancel the March plans and come in October for Octoberbreast
hotel night manager we were out on the deck at the resort(which everyone was asleep and clubs were dead at 12) we had our own music on, we had a few people there having a good time with us, the night manager came out screaming at us to turn off the music and leave. I turned off the music right away. and told him to calm down. he then told us to get to the beach cause the deck was closed(it wasn't it never closes). I said no we are gonna finish our drink and have a smoke then we would leave. he said no get to the beach right now. while saying that he then proceded to grab my wife. I am not a violent person but he just grabbed the most important person to me in my life, so I shoved him to the ground and told him to never lay his hands on her again. he then told us to get to the beach again and left. we finished our drink and had our smoke said goodbye to the other people that were there and left shortly after. we were gonna stay but I was in a dirty mood at that point and knew it was better to just go to bed and deal with it in the morning. when we got up we told them what had happen and they said they would start a investigation. im assuming the investigation is still goin(lol) because we never did hear anything. the next day got to me with all the bugs that I went down and told them we were leaving to days early. they said they couldn't refund me and I told them that was fine u couldn't pay me to stay here. lucky enough we met to great people on the flight down to mexico and they said they were goin to Temptation. so we decided to go there. best decision ive ever made. we love that place soooo much and they people we met were great people. we can now say we will be regulars there from now on. I cant say enough about the people and the place there. we hope to meet new friends in the future. now to kyle and jen what is octoberbreast, I kinda got a feeling with the play on words there but just wanted to know exzactly lol. also if anyone is thinking of goin to the sens write me first and hopefully I can change ur minds soooo much bad about that resort and I am the kinda person that finds good in almost all situations. sorry guys for this novel I have written...lol
Yes, Octoberbreast is just a silly play on words for a group of us on the board last year that decided we wanted to all go to Temptation Resort in the fall. Typically the fall is a slower time but of course that also makes it cheaper and you don't have to get up early for chairs, worry much about dinner reservations and have to deal with other fully occupied issues. We choose early October for several reasons... - many of us have little ones so the busy time of Halloween won't work - early October it is still very warm, no time change yet to take away the evening sun. - starts to get chilly for those of us up north so good time to escape Banding together means although the resort isn't packed you still have a great group of people to party with. We are equal opportunity partiers. Young and Old, all shapes and sizes, some like to stay up all night, some are early risers. It worked out really well last year which was just year one so I wouldn't call it clicky. The one negative is for this time of year you should always use the money you save on the hotel and air on trip insurance just in case that big storm comes along.
