March may be the only time we can get the grandparents to watch our two kids, so we are pretty much stuck going in March. Has anyone had any positive experiences at Temptation in March?
Take a deep breath and relax, there are a few spring breakers that are there but not too many. TTR doesn't market to the spring break crowd. They file into the Oasis or other hotels closer to the bars. You just have to worry about us 30+ year old single guys, but a couple of drinks in our hands take care of that problem right away!
fingers We are crossing our fingers as well. Canadian Dos Equis fan 30 year old single guys would be easly compared to 100, 18 year olds lol. :angel2:
It's the British guys that are sold during that time that they will be surrounded by "hot American college tail." Those poor guys once they get there and see that it's mostly couples and "older" ppl, are majorly disappointed. Don't worry.
That's what we are worried about. We see that Alpharooms has a dirt cheap option available at that time. It's around $170 dollars a night during March if you get the absolute worst room in the place, but it still comes with the all-inclusive, and we are thinking it will be one of the cheapest all-inclusive options at that time. And when I went to Cancun on Spring Break in 1998, the last thing I was worried about was where the room was. We booked at Maria De Lourdes back then because they offered 400 free beers per person.
We are in the same situation. Between availabe time off at work and getting someone to watch the kids, we took March. Also hoping the Boobs Cruise is more of a couples thing. Doesn't sound as much fun to have a few couples and a bunch of drunk single guys.
We were there last year during the same time frame you are going. I would say there were more single guys than normal but not so many that it was problematic. The next week had the infamous British Invasion.
$170 is cheap? During SB I have friends every year booking AI hotels and flights for less then $900 for 7 days.
Due to my gf's job, we have no choice but to go during SB. She is in education, and the last thing we wanted was to be bothered by younger children, or worse attempting to swim in puke filled water. We went to Cabo a couple of years ago to avoid Cancun and its SB college crowd. This time I decided (as I was paying for it) that, based on the excursions available, we would go to Cancun. COLLEGE KIDS BE DAMNED! Actually it was really cool when we were at TTR Cabo as there were a few other educators there.
$170/night based on double occupancy, which makes it $85/night per person. And I did a little more research and found several AI hotels that were cheaper than that so maybe the British Sausage Invasion won't happen again this year.
