If you are traveling Southwest in Cancun, check your flight cost now. Southwest dropped prices on a number of cities heading into Cancun at the last minute so if you find your flight is now cheaper, they will credit you for future travel. The drop for us was drastic,$130 per ticket!!! We now go on the next trip with half already being paid. Got to love Southwest, on time, no bag fees (with one bag full of shoes and one of toys it helps keep costs down), and they honor price drops!! Check you flights, you may be returning soon than you think!!!
Great! We already bought cheap fares on SW to Costa Rica. Will look into flights for Cancun next... Thanks,
This is very true...Keep a watch several times a day on Southwests fares. They have been moving on my flight up and down for the last month. I have called and captured lower fares 3 times now on this same flight and currently have over $120 in future flight credit built up. check both the outgoing and departure rates. one may go up but the other may have went down and you only need to change the one that benefits you without affecting the other.
alot of it is depending on several factors...I own a travel agency so I deal with this all the time...if you are departing or coming back on a weekend especially sundays, you wont see much of a price break...flying on tuesdays, wednesdays and thursdays is your best fare days....sometimes saturdays. prices tend to go up later in the week when you book than say booking on late sunday night, monday or tuesday. and once you cross into that 2 week from departure date, they usually start skyrocketing...
Southwest has started to fly out of Memphis , but they do not offer any kind of package or vacation plans, (which saves us the most on trips,) originating out of Memphis. Hoping they will change that by next year. Akycat, hope U stay on this web site, we could use some expert advise on travel plans...
