The song you are about to listen to is from a Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert. They received an immediate, resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it!

Federal Judge Bans 'In God We Still Trust'
Injunction Keeps Song From Being Used By Elementary School

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- U.S. District Judge Schlesinger has issued a preliminary injunction blocking the St. Johns County Schools from having students at Webster School rehearse "In God We Still Trust." The injuction was issued in response to the lawsuit filed last month by parents of two third-grade students, who claimed the song was too religious to be taught in a public school.

The suit names the St. Johns County District, a principal and two teachers at the Webster School. School officials cancelled rehearsals of the song and the song was dropped from a planned end-of-the-year program before the lawsuit was filed.

At an initial hearing, the plaintiffs' attorneys claimed that the song is teaching students a religious viewpoint. Attorneys for the school district said teaching a song does not endorse a religion.

"Just like any other issue that comes to its attention, the school district reacts and makes sure that it keeps on doing what it does best -- educate kids," said school district attorney Robert Sniffen.

With the song now banned from the school, the case will only go forward if the plaintiffs seek monetary damages.

Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered considered "politically incorrect." Consequently, the song was never released to the public.

Couldn't find a reference on snopes, but the above article is on the 'net:
