Hi everyone, I've been lurking at this awesome forum for a couple months. I've picked up a ton of info from threads and trip reports, but still have a couple questions I haven't seen covered. Thanks in advance for any answers! #1: I've read that there's a minimart sort of place across the street from the resort (called OXXO?) where you can buy Red Bull. Anyone know the price in dollars or pesos per can? Does the resort still charge $5 per can for RB? #2: Does the Boobs Cruise usually run every week in June and July? #3: Can you be topless at the quiet pool and on the beach, or only at the sexy pool? #4: From trip reports it sounds like Paty'O closes down at 2 (besides serving snacks til 6), but people talk about staying up and drinking til 5-6am. Is there a bar I missed or do people drink stuff they brought onto the resort? My husband and I will be at Temptation from June 27 - July 4. Looking forward to seeing some of you there. =)
As stated, DJ usually stops at 2am (sometimes later). Bar is open till 5am. Last week, we came back from the city at 4am and PatyOs was completely empty except a security guard and Johnny (the bartender), of course we put him to work, so even when no one is there, the bar is still open.
4 pk of 250ml RB at Walmart is just over 6.50 US. Other sizes priced proportionally. I think that's slightly cheaper than even in the us. U can have USA Transfers stop there on your way in to the resort if u use them. Most people do it for the booze, but Jamie has a RB habit so we'll be picking up a case on the way in ourselves. Steve watches the roll call threads to determine how much CCC-aware traffic will be at the resort when scheduling boobs,cruises. Post on your appropriate roll call thead to help.
:mnm:no problem being topless in any outside bit, pools beach etc. in fact it still amazes me how people dont go topless in other resorts outside europe...unlike the states the beach is public property everywhere and you can go topless on the beach without worrying, we have just come back and this time stayed at riu cancun(dont all scream at once!) met up with steve and janet for the saturday Boobs Cruise...(new avatar) i just fancied a nicer hotel with better food and drink...however it seems " no tits on show" is the deal breaker and luis has insisted we go back to temptations next year...have to say i agree , even without bacon or free internet!! the entertainment is non stop fun..artytime:
Across the street or at oxxo the red bull was somewhere around 30 or 35 pesos so $3 usd. Not much savings over TTR. However they did have sugar free red bull which made it worth it for us. We also pack a 4 pack in each suit case. We never have time to stop at Walmart.
