I want to make a suggestion. In 2001, I made a little 8-1/2 x 11 sign with my resort's name on it, and I was walking around the gate at the airport with it right before we boarded the plane for Cancun. A group of six from our area was staying at the same resort as us (they commented on my sign), and we ended up hanging out a lot together. I'd try that if you don't get any takers.
I'm assuming you already looked into this already but just in case, are there any properties that offer NO single supplement? Also, sometimes during the shoulder seasons some properties will advertise singles week. If you're not sure just do a mock purchase of your ticket and see if the rate changes to double or stays the same, single. Good luck..
