I’be never been a speedo guy, but I need to step up my game in the swim trunk department for our April trip. Ladies, what are the do’s and dont’s for the guys in the swimwear department?
My lovely bride got me to ditch the board shorts last time too! Two pairs of small square cuts and yes a dreaded speedo! I guess if she’s wearing thongs and running around topless all day I can oblige her speedo request!
I bought Sean 4 pairs of longer square cuts for his upcoming first trip wearing them. He is tall and has a dad bod, so we did not go for the short ones. His are more "rectangle cuts", as they extend about 1/3 of the way down his thighs. I don't want his soft butt being squashed out the bottom, as would be the case with shorter styles. And they are substantial fabric with front pockets, so they will be an easier transition from board shorts. The brand we bought is Taddlee, $30 on Amazon. Very happy with them. We are bringing a couple of pairs of his board shorts just in case, as Sean doesn't like making a spectacle of himself in public (unlike me, who will be bringing a couple of Malibu Strings suits for the first time in April LOL)
Thanks for the tips. I’m also tall, 6’2”, have a dad bod, and my love handles have always given me fits. I’m not shy, but I also don’t want to feel goofy either. I need to find a cut that works well but doesn’t have my love handles being squeezed out, flopping over the top of the band, that would annoy me (I know, I know, nobody cares). I don’t mind the package being show off, as long as it’s the correct package. Ha!
I rock the square cuts down there. My gf likes me in them and I figure if she’s wearing the bottoms I pick out for her I can wear the ones she wants for me.
