I saw that snorkeling offered at the GP. Is the snorkeling at the beach good or is it worth paying for a trip?

    snorkling

Pay for a trip, snorkling off the beachis non existant as the surf is so rough.Book a trip with aqua world, they have a booth right at the pool so its easy. Also take the snorkling cruise to Isla Mujera its a booze/snorkling
trip with lunch and about an hour onthe island.

FYI: I cannot comment on the snorkeling at Isla but I have done and recommend Cozumel. N

Pablo is right, there is too much churn in the water in front of the resort. There are lot's of options available for snorkeling excursions elsewhere.

Thank you. We were actually looking at the Aquaworld website last night! I think we'll try that.

if you take a day trip to isla mujeres, do it on your own. They charge you too much with the tours. Take a bus to puerto Juarez... it's 4 bucks a person each way for the UltraMar ferry. Once you get there.... there will be a street in front of the dock. Directly across the street you can rent a golf cart for the day (usually we return it at like 4:30 i think). You can park them anywhere pretty much for free. Check out the lighthouse on the right side of the island.... and the amazing cliff views. Take the golf cart to the left side of the island to their beautiful beach "Playa norte". there you can go into the water pretty far out and it will still be shallow. there are small waves crashing but nothing crazy. i dont even think you would feel much of a pull on your body standing in it. There you can pretty much look straight down and she the fish swimming all around you. I would recommend going to target or walmart and buying some cheap snorkel and goggles before you come. Perfect and free! :D Good luck! :D

    anytime! :D Enjoy! <3

p.s. when it says snorkeling is included..... I believe you have to go down to the Tiki Hut by the pool, and talk to either Adonis(tall mexican guy) or Rae(Gorgeous blonde canadian girl)..... They work on behalf of the hotel with AquaWorld. Some of the activities that they say are included, ARE included, but they are not on the resort. Included in your package is also paddleboats and windsurfing. They are at AquaWorld marina. Perhaps if you wanted to go snorkeling, you should ask Adonis or Rae.... could be somewhere where the water is much more calm.

    Just a thought! <3
