It says on their website that there is snorkeling at Dreams hotel does anyone know anything about this is it okay there or would it be better to go on one of the snorkeling tours?
It is best to just go on a trip, you may see some things, but the water is pretty rough in Cancun. There is a reef down by Sun Palace called the Punta Nizuc reef. If you can find a way to access it, you can snorkel for free there. Other wise I say just find a trip down to Puerto Morels and snorkel there. I did some diving about a mile of two off the coast from Dreams and sadly the coral is in pretty bad shape.
