Did anyone watch this last night ? (those of you in Canada, I mean)

Funny that the guy was almost knocked out on the first question -- a bit of a trick question if you answer too fast.

But did you notice that some of the 2nd and 3rd grade questions were actually quite difficult? Name the Cdn female artist that was part of the Group of Seven? Who studies that in grade two?!?

I would have been out on the French question -- when I went to elementary school French immersion was not part of the curriculum.

Question was "what is the French translation of phrase 'I am tired'?"

Knew "I am" is "je suis", but had no idea of 'tired'. Contestant knew answer, but I think because he is a lawyer he needs to be somewhat bilingual in Canada (depending on his home province).

 yes I guess go. Done is french can translate into cooking or having accomplished something.

I guess you could say Bien Fait or tres bien fait. I have used these transalation websites before to email a friend a Switzerland, their french is different and being french the stuff it comes up with sometimes is hilarious.

Same with the difference between European French and Canadian French! Those online translators can be very embarrassing!
