I have read several posts that say skoosh.com has the cheapest rates. I have checked there website several times to get rates, and have found no info about temptations rates. Does anyone know why?
Many times a hotel reseller will only list properties that give them the highest commissions. Perhaps that's reason for the omission of Temptations. I have never used skoosh and don't know if they usually list Temptations. Try hotels.com or expedia - saw the best deals there (particularly if you are booking room and airfare together).
Several of us have been in contact with skoosh for the same reason, I used skoosh last year and it was drastically cheaper then most sites, and Ive tried again this year and like you have said there is nothing. They have emailed me and my friend Ed from alaska back saying they still deal with Temptations yet no rooms have been released yet and to keep trying back. Eds email was about the same as mine, here is what I recieved from them a few months ago. Hi Jim Thank you for your email and for your repeated custom with Skoosh! We do still have the Temptation Resort on our website, you can find it by clicking on the following link: http://www.skoosh.com/cancun_hotels/temptation_resort_spa_all_inclusive_hotel.html I hope this helps, please let me know if there is anything else we can help you with. Kind regards Debra Skoosh Reservations
We are going to the Golden Parnassus this year. :cigar: A few weeks I found TTR and the GP on Skoosh but the price for a week was over $1700, basic room. We booked through Expedia and found the prices much better than Skoosh or other sites this year. I am not sure why. Last year for the 2nd week in February, the room was $1226, or $175 per night and we found arifare for less than $450 each, out of Des Moines. Every year it seems to change. Even Alpharooms was more expensive than Expedia. Good luck and take the plunge and book. Whatever price you pay will be worth it.
Expedia has a sale on I got a weekend departure from Halifax in April for $1049 including tax. Saved my wife and I over $700.
If you live near the Canadian border (ideally in upstate NY or Michigan) I'd suggest checking out flights from Toronto. The whole system works differently up here where major tour companies (not travel agencies...tour companies) package together AI hotels with charter aircraft. The charter planes are typical economy class and ONLY run flights to and from hotels in the tropics. The packages are sold through typical travel agents both online and normal travel agency "stores". As a result, package deals from Canada are much cheaper than flying most typical scheduled airlines in the US (i.e. Delta, United, etc.) and booking the hotel separately. My wife and I paid $630 each plus tax for 7 days from Toronto. All in we're at $1800 CDN or so for both of us...and that includes the transfer from the airport to the resort and back. We booked here: All Inclusive Vacation Packages and other Last Minute Travel Deals at itravel2000 I just did a quick check and although the dates we're going are sold out, a 7-day trip departing on January 24th is only $640 CDN plus tax. Not too shabby.
Try vacationstogo.com It is one of those search engines that looks at many sites and gives the best deal they can find.
