I see some people don't like the amount of single men who go to TR. Not sure why. Last time we were there we found most single men to be kind and fun to be around. For me, what is that saying about "variety being the spice of life" ohhh... la... la....artytime:artytime:
When we were there last Feb, there were a few single guys and they were awesome to hang out with. I don't think it's so much the single "guy" its the groups of single "guys" that can be an issue. I'm not saying they always are or even half the time or a 1/4 of the time are an issue. But, I do believe that if there were to be an issue, there is a good chance it starts cause a group of guys are getting a little tipsy and start actin a fool
Almost all of the negative comments on single men have been aimed at larger groups of single men going. A lot of the bad behavior is one trying to show off to the other, or out do the other, ect. All depends what you go for. The resort is marketed as a sexy atmosphere . Nothing sexy about a bad X/O ratio resulting in a sausage fest unless that's what your into , I here March can be a sausage fest . We have single guys in our groups and there all gentlemen.
Great Points. I can/could see where a pack of single men could cause and issue. We only came across a couple single guys who came alone.
You'll always get the odd douchebag, and this person can be anyone - it's a personality trait and doesn't discriminate by gender or marital status. However, if an attached guy/girl is being an idiot their significant other will reel them in, pull them up about it, take them to bed if it's due to too much drink or whatever. If it's a single causing trouble and their friends either don't give a shit or they're on their own, then there's nobody to do this and I think that's when it becomes a problem. Too much drink can turn many into douchebags, me included! I've made a prat of myself before now after a few too many, but I'm lucky to have my husband who will see when I've had too much and making an idiot of myself and take me to bed. There's also the occasional odd couple too, where both are as bad as the other. Those I've bumped into have never heard of this board and go to TTR thinking it's a free for all sex fest. They can be too pushy, but they don't tend to mix too well with CCC people and are avoided once a few others see what they are like.
When we we at the resort last February there were a fair number of single men present. Almost all of the guys we met were fantastic, with one exception a group of boys that were from Brazil and checked in next door to our room. Not all of the guys were wild, about 90% were out of control. One night I had to go back to my room to get some tip money for Patio's and I was swarmed by three of our neighbors. I ended up being bitten in the calf by one of the guys. I do not know what happened to the boys as we had new neighbours the next day. This was the rare exception....
Wow "bitten in the calf" that would not go over well with me, unless it was someone who clearly had been given the green light to do so, and that does not sound like that was the case in your situation Canprairiegirl. I only ran into one asshole the last time we were at TTR and oddly enough he looked just like an asshole I know here in Hamilton Ontario. I told him to go away a navy seal told him to go away then my boyfriend did, after that I think security told him and he pretty much stayed away, but one asshole out of a whole week at a full resort is great usually find one each night at a bar at home.
The bite was not welcomed, nor was it tolerated. I left a nice hand print on the side of his face. There was one gentleman in the group that apologized for his friends behaviour. No slight against anyone from Brazil, they just happened to be from that country.
