Look.......this is about "our" opinion of the majority of the single guys that roam TTR in packs. The resorts are similar....Desire and TTR, but Desire is smaller, more intimate and has a much more laid back vibe....... Our preference....your preference.......it's all good!
As to the bare boating thing.......you essentially charter a yacht for a period of time....complete with a captain and a first mate......food and beverages are included.....you pic your menus .......and you sail around the Carribean......visit various islands and sand bar beaches for a couple weeks. The charter we are considering is captained by a former Navy Seal and his first mate is his wife of 10 years. The catamaran sleeps 8. We currently have another couple that wants to go......and another couple trying to decide if they want to afford it. It can get pricey but looks to be a wonderful vacation!
I found TTR to be a great place to party. Going solo is a choice, it doesn't make you a douche, unless you are douche. In that case, if you came with someone you still would be a douche. That make sense?.. did I use the word douche to many times..lol Have to agree with Canadian Dos, there are plenty of single guys that just hang and have fun, people just notice the ones that make asses of themselves. The problem may not be with the single guy... just sayin:headbanger:
We were there last April and as part of same sex couple we have had our share of experiences with douchebags in general. However with the exception of one instance of a tool clinging and getting a little to close to my girlfriend (which by the way was quickly dealt with by a single guy who was not a douchebag) we had no issues. In fact we met some great guys Keith, Derrick, Nuttyrat and Ron who were all single and we would hang out with them anytime. If I was going to comment on the few douchebags I see at the resort I would say from my experience most were coupled up and were just your typical racist, obnoxious pigs you could find anywhere. I wouldn't want a couple only resort at temptations if I did we would go to one elsewhere.
I think the point of all of this is that no one wants an issue with some tool of a single/married guy/girl coming on too strong and then have to be dealt with. Please remember though where you are, the resort does not single out any category of people, groups, lifestyle, haircolor etc. This you will have to deal with if you go. Money is the key, thats why the resort is there to make money, its not there out of the goodness of their heart. Money will always trump, issues, needs, wants, complaints etc. You have the floor...
I'm single and just going there to party and have a good time and forget my worries, no plans on being a douchebag. Will be my first time there. hell my first time out of the U.S.
This thread drives me nuts Some of the nicest people we have met in temp are single guys , has there been one or two strange ones. Of course there has, that's going to happen. The ones the cause the most trouble in these kind of resorts ? The wife or couple who didn't do her homework when booking and acts like the people that go here are evil and the worse ones of all? The swayers who don't know their rules yet and one of them gets jealous and all hell breaks loose Leave the single guys alone , If anyone is a jerk kick them out no need to single out the guys.
Bottom line if they could find a way to stop the bachelor parties that would stop the bulk of the problems. Maybe TTR should have a contest on how to do this without blocking all single guys from the resort.
