Just lookin if anybody knows where to get a sim card for my unlocked blackberry so I can get back in touch with reality if need be.
interesting question... if I take my unlocked Iphone 4S for this trip will I be able to buy a sim card with a data plan over there? if so does anyone know how much that will cost? I will be using a company phone and much rather not take advantage of it.
From the US and just came back. I haver Verizon wth iPhone 4 and called them added a plan that gave me 75 free mins and anything over that $0.45 per min for 5 days was $9. I added 100 megs of data for $25.
From Canada there are no ''cheap plans'' from our carriers,, there wasn't last year. If you Google it will will find plenty of cards available,, just make sure to cancel the plan when you get back cause they will keep charging your credit card. Never use the pay phones They advertise low minute charges but charge you a $29 connection fee per call. Canadian carriers typical charge 1 to 3 $ @ minute for Mexico,,,
If I understand correctly you get about 3Gbs for around $50 which would be great! I will find out when I get there and post again.
If you look down a couple days I posted in a thread about calling home with the rates for data and such on the Telcel sims and one of the good Telcel stores to pick it up at once you arrive that can help you activate and put the right plans on for you. Telcel does it all via txt messages that can be kinda confusing for the initial activation.
