Silly Question -- Does the bus go to Walmart?

Have heard from different people on the forum that they have made a stop to Walmart for some things in Cancun. Our transfer, USA Transfer, is willing to go to Walmart from the airport, but at a cost of $30. I was thinking of getting settled at Temptation, decide what we need (i.e. case or two of water, some redbull, gatorade, etc), and then make a quick trip. Just wondering if the bus will get me there and back.

 

For sure! Just ask the guys at the front which way to to, left or right to Cancun town, and go to the bus stop and it will take ya there, less than a dollar, ay have to have peso.

Then on the way back, just get on the bus going the other way. Finding the toilet at Target is harder than taking the bus anywheres. I ride it all over, no problem, no safety issues.

We almost always take the bus to Walmart, we normally take a taxi back just because it is easier to carry all the stuff we buy, but very easy and cheap!!

 

Yup - It's usually Bus #2 to Walmart (There's a Sams Club across from Walmart if you're a member). Easiest way to get back it in a cab tho!
U don't need pesos to take the bus -a buck will do it.

 

Go out of the hotel, make a right walk about a half block to bus stop. Let the driver know you're going to Walmart. When you get off the bus cross the street and Walmart is one block over. When leave Walmart go to the street and turn left and that's where you get the bus back to the hotel. The bus stop is right next to Walmart, not on the street where you got off the bus when coming. You can take any bus that says hotel zone in the front window.

 

There is also a mini mart on the street right next to the hotel and a drug store across the street. Both are to the right of the hotel. We buy the gallon size bottles of water. They fit nicely in the bottom of the fridge.

 

Wow! Thanks everyone! This forum is the best. All the info we learn from this forum will lessen the stress / anxiety when we get there January 7th! Now all we have to do is find some of our Cancuncare friends when we arrive!

 

i always make a stop at the market 28 flee market then walk to the walmart
