I too have heard that the ca-125 can be inacurate........ however if it does catch this very difficult to detect cancer in only a handful of women then isn't it worth it :?: :?: :?: My mother-in-law was misdiagnosed at first and eventually passed away because of ovarian cancer at the young age of 51 Just my two cents worth in this matter :-|
The number of false positives reported as a result of this test are apparently very high. What procedures are pursued when one occurs in order to make sure it was an accurate result?
