I was sent a link this morning... Wikipedia has already been updated

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordie_Howe_hat_trick

In ice hockey, a Gordie Howe hat trick is a variation on the hat trick, wherein a player scores a goal, gets an assist, and participates in a fight in a single game. It is named after Gordie Howe, who was known for both his scoring ability and his truculence. Despite the feat being named after him, Gordie Howe only ever recorded one "Gordie Howe hat trick" during his career on December 22, 1955 in a game between the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins.

The Gordie Howe hat trick is not a widely recognized formal statistic. The San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames, Nashville Predators and the Ottawa Senators used to be the only teams in the NHL that recorded their franchise's Gordie Howe hat tricks. The players were Brad Stuart, Jarome Iginla, Jordin Tootoo, and Dean McAmmond, respectively.

In 2006, Anaheim's Shane O'Brien, Ottawa's Patrick Eaves and Phoenix's Georges Laraque each recorded the Gordie Howe hat trick.

On December 20, 2007, Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick against the Boston Bruins. Crosby's fight against Andrew Ference was his first fight and major penalty in his 194-game NHL career.
