My wife and I are going for our first time, March 3rd-10th. We’re currently booked for a garden view room, we’ve been told that there may be the possibility of upgrading...which level should we go for? Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated!

It really depends how much time you plan to spend in your room! If you aren't in your room much, it's not really worth it in our opinion. Some people enjoy hanging out in the mornings or even throughout the day on their patio and in the evenings or take a night "off" to rest up - if this might be you then maybe a room upgrade is worth it. We've always just booked garden view.. or basic ocean view at most since we don't spend a ton of time in the room.

Thanks for your thoughts on that, is there not more extras that come with being in the bash tower?

All depends on how much time you usually spend in your room I guess.

We’re also from Alberta, with the late nights and the time change we can be pretty slow moving in the morning. So we’re in our room for a bit. Being able to have a coffee, chill on the balcony, and actually see the water before we get going is worth it to us.

Yes... the big one is access to the rooftop. That’s $20/person if your not in the tower. But we only went up 1-2 times while we were there and probably wouldn’t have bothered if it wasn’t free.

There are some other perks: access to sea flirt for breakfast, a reserved seating area, special room service menu, free porn channels... I guess the rooms are a bit bigger.

The real value to us is the room size and the ocean view.

Thanks for your thoughts! Pretty sure we’re going to upgrade to the bash tower.

The tower gives you free room service (i think it is $20 in the Garden View) and the tower is convenient at the end of the night when you are leaving Bash. They have the best burgers at Bash and we always take a plate of food to our room at the end of the night, so it is convenient. You also get access to the top of the towers (bar, great food and pool) but it is quiet up there so we usually don't go up there even though we stay in the towers. Not sure there is much difference in the rooms, so don't upgrade for a better room.

If you do make sure you get a room higher up and further out on the arms.

Our first trip our room was 3015 (or something like that). It was low down and essentially center. We looked directly out onto the ocean... but we got a lot of noise from some air conditioners.

The only drawback is at the end of the pool day... you need to walk through a very air conditioned lobby!

You’ll have to let us know how the upgrade process goes for you. We originally booked Bash tower because Lush was unavailable for a couple of the days. Those days are now available, but they quoted us at $100 a day extra instead of the $10 difference you see on new bookings. We decided the tub wasn’t worth it.
